Communist: public ownership of major industry, a worker-run economy, universal social programs, and staunch anti-imperialism. On a left–right scale it sits at the far-left pole, close to the DSA.
Democratic socialist: Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, worker power and public ownership, deep military cuts, and expansive social and civil-rights positions — the furthest left of the group.
Progressive left: aggressive climate action, single-payer health care, deep military cuts, strong labor and civil-rights positions.
Center-left: expand health coverage, tax higher earners, act on climate, protect abortion and voting access, back unions.
Economically right, socially and diplomatically hands-off: cut taxes, spending, and regulation; strong gun and civil-liberty stances; keep government out of abortion; non-interventionist abroad.
Center-right: tax and regulation cuts, strong border enforcement, gun rights, school choice, originalist judges; abortion left to the states.
